Cashman Equipment Corp. is pleased to announce the continuing expansion of their northeast United States barge and crane fleet for the marine construction market.
Over the past year, Cashman Equipment has relocated 8 barges from the Gulf of Mexico to Norfolk, New York Harbor and Boston, with plans to move an additional 8 barges over the next 6 months, with barges from recent and future acquisitions. “What we are doing is a natural progression of our success in this market in meeting the demands of our customer base” said Jeff York, Cashman Equipment’s East Coast Sales Manager. “Relocating various sized barges, including 231’ x 40’ and 150’ x 60’ barges, allows us to accommodate different types of marine construction work so we can continue to meet the demands of our existing customers, while at the same time expand our customer base. In addition to our barge fleet, we have also expanded our crane fleet in this market to include three additional Manitowoc 2250 cranes for use on our barges.”, continued Mr. York.
Cashman Equipment, a global provider of barges and marine services, owns and operates one of the youngest and largest fleets in the industry with over 130 vessels, including inland and ocean barges ranging in size from 120’ to 400’, accommodation barges, as well as specialized oil spill recovery barges, tugs and cranes. Cashman Equipment maintains offices and fleets around the world including the United States, Mexico, Canada, Singapore/Australia, the Persian Gulf, West Africa and the Caspian Sea.
